Fagnes Pellets Wood Pellets

Wood pellets are small, cylindrical pellets used as an eco-friendly fuel for pellet stoves and central heating boilers. They serve as a modern, automatic, and renewable alternative to traditional firewood, gas, or heating oil.

Important info!

What are they made of?

  • Sawdust and wood shavings: Pellets are pressed from pure residual waste from the timber industry (sawmills).
  • No chemical additives: The wood powder is pressed through a die under extremely high pressure. The natural binding agent in wood (lignin) liquefies due to the heat and holds the pellet firmly together.
  • Wood types: You can get pellets made of 100% softwood (burn fast and bright, produce less ash) or a mix with hardwood (burn slower and longer).

How do they work in a stove?

  1. Automatic feed: You pour the pellets into the stove's storage hopper.
  2. Auger: An internal auger (feed screw) transports the pellets very precisely to the burn pot.
  3. Electronic ignition: A heating element ensures that the pellets ignite automatically within a few minutes.
  4. Optimal combustion: A built-in fan regulates the exact amount of oxygen, ensuring that combustion is highly efficient and virtually smoke-free.

The major advantages

Because Fagnes Pellets is a DINplus certified product (7A192), you benefit directly from all the mentioned advantages with this company:

  • Less cleaning: Due to the extremely low ash content (≤ 0.6%), you need to empty your stove's ash pan much less frequently.
  • No malfunctions: Because Fagnes Pellets are very tightly pressed (≥ 98% durability) and contain virtually no dust (≤ 0.1%), your stove's auger will never jam.
  • Maximum heat: The low moisture content (< 7%) ensures that the pellets burn brightly immediately without any loss of energy.
  • Safe for the stove: There are absolutely no glue residues or chemical substances in the sawdust, meaning no aggressive acids are released that could corrode the inside of your stove.
